About: Trauma & Orthopaedics / Major Trauma Unit (8CC)

(as the patient),

Extremely grateful and humbled by my treatment in Major Trauma 8CC Royal Victoria Hospital. Tended to hand and foot, not imposed on, and treated with nothing but a respectful and non judging attitude. Exceptional team helped me through a very emotionally, physically, and mentally testing time and helped me get back to my family. I couldn’t be more thankful to all staff, from the domestic cleaners who gave me the time of day, to the surgeons who brought me back from the brink of death essentially. Amazing people.

Hi TPS1,

My name is Kate and I am the lead nurse for the major trauma service. Can I take this opportunity to thank you for your very kind and generous feedback in relation to your recent hospital admission. I have forwarded this to the whole team including Brendan and Sean our domestic staff. We are all very grateful for you for taking the time to complete this. I am delighted that despite everything you have been through your hospital stay was a positive one and hopefully helped you in your recovery,

I am glad to share my honest response, I am sorry I left out the nursing team in my generalisation. You are all a credit to the service despite the extreme pressure you are under, and may you all have a very good new year!
