(as the patient),

I recently went in for day surgery at Ward 1 surgical unit in Grantham hospital to repair a damaged rotator cuff injured through a dislocated shoulder.

Throughout all of my appointments with the consultants I have treated with total dignity, respect and professionalism which has been tremendously reassuring. This continued with all of the nursing staff and support staff that helped me up to and during the surgery. 

I have my next appointment with the surgeon upcoming, followed by physiotherapy support which will hopefully lead to complete recovery - thank you all for your brilliant service

Thank you so much for this truly amazing post for the staff on the Surgical unit including surgeons – I will ensure they all see this – it really boosts the staff morale to see these posts and we are so pleased to see that the patients have had the best journey possible when coming into hospital.
