About: Mater Hospital / Day Procedure Unit (DPU)

(as a service user),

On News Years Eve I received Excellent care from the friendly staff. From you walk in the door at reception untill you get your procedure and home again. They could not have done enough.

The only complaint is that Cloisters tea shop was not open for the family members who were in the waiting room.

Happy New year to you. Thank you for providing some feedback.

My name is Bernie Carey and I am the manager at the Mater Hospital site. I am delighted to hear about the very positive experience you had personally in your care and treatment. and I do hope you are keeping well. I am so sorry the Cloisters tea shop was not open on New Years Eve, I do agree it would have been nice for your family to have had a cuppa while they waited. I am sorry unfortunately due to unforeseen staff absence at that time we had to take the decision to close. The canteen service on level 6 would have been available to you, but perhaps this was not made known to you.
