"care for my mother"

About: Integrated Community Services Service Delivery Unit / Malvern Neighbourhood Team

(as a relative),

My mother was ill with cellulitis and oedema. She is in her nineties and housebound. She was scared and struggling to walk or get to the toilet. The Malvern Neighbourhood  team were amazing. They spent 2 hours assessing her ability to get on a toilet (essential when just started on water tablets), get to bed, prepare food etc. They got the equipment she needed and all the care to prevent a hospital admission.

I felt so grateful and thankful that my mother was safe and could stay at home. They were respectful, patient and caring

My mother then declined all the care so it was stopped but then decided she wanted it 24hours later. The team were so understanding and put everything in place again. They were so kind and compassionate

Many thanks for sharing this response with us!

It was a pleasure to support your mum and ensure that she could stay at home at this time.

I will share your thoughts with the team, who will be delighted to receive such positive feedback.
