"Examination of 1yr old baby "not necessary" "

About: Patford House Partnership

Took my 1 year old son to see the Gp on New Year's Eve 2024 as he wasn't well and filled the doctor we saw in all the details of what he's been dealing with over the past few months. The doctor didn't examine my son and said it wasn't necessary but told me he must have diabetes and sent us to the Paediatric Assessment Unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. After 6+ hours of sitting in the hospital I was told the Gp should have examined my baby and was informed that he has tonsillitis. The Dr failed me and my son but I am grateful to the Royal United Hospital staff for getting to the bottom of his problems thoroughly.

Dear Patient, Thank you for sharing your experience, and we are very sorry to hear about the issues you faced. We understand how distressing it must have been to feel your concerns were not fully addressed. We take your feedback seriously and are happy to look into this further to ensure that future care is more thorough and in line with your expectations. Kind Regards, Julie Taylor - Operations Manager
