"Gone downhill!!"

About: Beauchief Medical Practice

Had a baby at the end of November and had an infection in my stitches. Usually GP would give you antibiotics for it but this GP service decided that instead they would make me go back to the hospital with a week old baby and my 22 month old daughter just one week postpartum where I had to wait 3 1/2 hours to be seen, at which point they couldn’t give me said antibiotics because it was past 7pm. I then was told to return to the hospital the next day to get the prescription all because the GP decided to not give them to me which is standard practice. When I wrote to make a formal complaint they miraculously wanted to sort it out because they knew I was complaining. This isn’t the first time they have failed us. When my daughter who had just turned one at the time wasn’t well, we were sent over to Totley for an appointment. Literally can’t get into abbey lane doctors office, even with an ill child. My mom was sent to lowedges last year when she had a severe chest infection, she had to wait until 7 at night despite calling in the morning and when she turned up, lowedges was closed and they had sent her to the wrong place so she had to go right down to Bramell lane surgery… with a severe chest infection!!!
