My wife was diagnosed with vascular dementia 4 years ago, and lichen sclerosus 9 months ago, with the dementia the day we were told we decided to carry on with life as we would have if she was well. She was diagnosed at the NDDH Barnstaple, we carried on with life as we planned, we also got involved in several Zoom meeting and other discussing's we have had medical students visited us in our home which was a pleasure.
The lichen sclerosus has been a different ball game, again she was treated again at NDDH, up until the last few months we were managing the dementia reasonably well, I have been caring for her, I have learnt how to cook, use the washing machine, house cleaning and many other skills. Recently my wifes dementia has severely deteriorated so I needed some help, we had Vikki from Community Rehabilitation Bideford, she was extremely professional, very efficient, advised us what we needed, she is a great ambassador for the CR at Bideford.
"Extremely professional and very efficient"
