Having been suffering from a nasty flu bug was feeling very rough. Symptoms were not improving and I made the decision to visit GP, on getting ready to leave house I had a coughing fit and was unable to catch breath, almost blacking out. My husband got me to lie on sofa and he called 999.

Paramedics arrived promptly and were amazing , absolutely brilliant, they decided I needed to go to A @E Exeter where the fantastic care continued. Staff were obviously very busy and A@E was packed but everything was carried out quickly, efficiently and with the utmost care.

From start to finish less than 4 hours ( ambulance at home to me being discharged) I had amazing care. Can I add that on the unfortunate couple of times I've been to hospital the care has been excellent, I cannot praise the NHS staff more.
