"No aftercare advice"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a service user),

Seen very quickly, however no aftercare advice. I left with a sling and no idea how long to wear it or how best to care for my injury.

Dear, story0308

My name is Siobhan McIlroy, the Head of Patient Experience in NHS Fife. Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to hear that you were seen quickly, but I am sorry for the lack of aftercare advice you received. It’s important to us that our patients leave with clear instructions on how to care for their injuries.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I wish you the best in your recovery. Best wishes, Siobhan
