"Team reassured me that everything was going to be ok"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I got rushed into cross house hospital thought it was my appendix .got put under the care of miss Yeap who was my surgeon.

Miss Yeap and her team made me feel so welcome from start to finish and took the time to make sure and reassure me that everything was going to be ok.

Turns out I had a growth on my bowel but miss Yeap to the rescue she had it out me by the next day can not thank her enough it's true what they say not all super heroes wear capes! so grateful for miss yeaps fast thinking of getting it out of me as nothing has spread in my eyes she has saved my life .

Also all the girls in ward 4b were amazing any questions I had to ask they broke it down for me and they were always on the ball some team in there ! so just want to say a big massive thank you to miss Yeap and her team of surgeons and to all who work in 4b .

yous made me feel welcome comfortable and reassuring during that really difficult stressful time in my life thanks again team

Dear David f

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided by the Surgical Team at University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to read that you required admission to hospital with abdominal pain, but so glad to know that the growth on your bowel was quickly identified and treated.

It is also great to know that you received such reassuring, professional and compassionate care from our staff and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the staff in Ward 4B, and in particular with Miss Yeap and her Team. I know they will all be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported by them.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
