"Kind, caring, considerate and chatty"

I need to have my blood taken every year which would normally be taken at Stobhill Hospital.

When I had my bloods taken at Stobhill the last few times this was done by Karen a Phlabotomist from Liverpool.

It's difficult to find my veins and I thought Karen might find it difficult the first time she took my bloods. I was expecting a few failed attempts and some bruising, but that was not the case. Karen was very confident and chatty while she looked for and found my best vein, no multiple attempts, just practiced skill and over and done with in one go.

I found Karen to be engaging, able to chat while working and all the while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. I don't look forward to having my bloods taken but do enjoy talking to Karen during the process.

I didn’t have my bloods this year by Karen but did want to say a thank you to her for being kind, caring, considerate and chatty while she worked. Always smiling.

I thought I had posted this message a couple of weeks ago, but it appears I did not do it properly and it didn’t post. I hope this message can get to her before Christmas.
