I asked to see a doctor because I was worried about a spot on my face and had been advised to get it checked out. I was given an appointment for a telephone appointment with my named GP just over a week later. On the day before the appointment my GP rang me to offer a face to face appointment so that the spot could be seen. The appointment was later the same day. I was seen promptly, in fact by a locum doctor who examined me and confirmed the spot was not a serious problem. He referred my for treatment but explained I would be a low priority, which I quite understood. The next day I received a message on the NHS app to confirm the referral details.
It is clear that everyone, including the receptionist who took down details of why I wanted to see a doctor, acted very professionally. My mind has been put at rest and I know I will get treatment in due course. This is typical of my experience of this practice. Thank you and I hope you enjoy a well-earned Christmas break.
