I attended a pop up for Covid and flu vaccination recently in RVH foyer. Nurses were fantastic. Great service. I get my vaccines every year to protect myself and my vulnerable burns patients, adults and children. Some of my patients are very elderly and they are immunocompromised after a burn and prone to infection.
My only regret is not getting this vaccine earlier this season. This is only the second pop up on the Royal site. The other alternative was to attend another hospital. With the parking at that hospital and at my own hospital there is no such thing as a quick trip across town and I would have needed to cancel a theatre list or a clinic.
I am so glad to see the return of the pop up clinics, every member of staff I’ve spoken to was going to try to get down.
