My sister was referred to the assessment unit with a suspected cardiac event and was seen promptly by the nurses and medical staff working there. They carried out various tests, kept her informed and made a plan of care. We were delighted and grateful for the practitioners who supported her.
I would also like to say a very special thank you to the Health Care Support Worker, Rose, who went above and beyond to be kind and caring to my sister. She was friendly, reassuring and skilled in the care she provided which made the whole experience less stressful.
Sometimes the basics can be overlooked like offering a cup of tea especially when the unit is busy, but not in this case. Rose made sure that all the patients were fed and watered- thank you for your kindness, you’re an asset to your team.
