"All staff have helped me get this far"

About: Cameron Hospital / Recovery & rehabilitation

(as a service user),

Once i committed myself to participating in the therapies, i looked forward to attending my therapy sessions as i feel i have gave the programme my all. Elaine and Bruce at physiotherapy knew when to push me and knew when to hold back. I was admitted to the ward using the sara steady equipment and now I am getting discharge home walking independently with my walking aid. Happy with Jodi and Rachel in OT helping with dexterity and hand movements, they made my sessions fun to attend to and they found out how bad i am at cooking it kitchen practice. Claire and Sara for being patient and understanding and helping me with my speech. All staff have helped me get this far and have made it possible for me to be discharged home for Christmas.

Building is very dated and can do with a refurbishment.

Dear MrCJ75

Really appreciate you taking the time to write your care opinion. It's always nice for staff to hear positive feedback. Rehab can be really successful when the person participating in rehab and the rehab team work together - as you have demonstrated! As therapists we love to see people achieving their goals and so pleased that you made it home for Christmas, walking independently. We hope you continue to make further progress with your walking and other goals.

We also appreciate your comments about the building. The right environment is important for rehabilitation.
