"A fall and subsequent treatment"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I am in my 90s and healthy but walk with a stick because of a back problem and slight deafness which cause me sometimes to be unsteady.  I tripped on the pathway, banged my head and suffered some cuts.  I went with my son to the A&E service at the hospital.  I was very impressed by the expertise and friendliness of the staff, and with their help expect no lasting effect from my carelessness.

Dear Footpath tripper,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear about your fall, but we’re so glad our A&E team was able to help and that you’re expecting no lasting effects – that’s great news!

We hope you’re continuing to recover well and staying steady on your feet in this cold weather.

We’ll be sure to share your lovely feedback with the team, as it will mean a lot to them hear that their care is appreciated.
