Following a heart ablation I was discharged and my wife and I were waiting in the foyer on a Friday evening for a taxi. I started to feel feint, fortunately a woman leaving the hospital noticed and advised my wife to get help. She spoke to the receptionist who broadcast a medical emergency.
Staff immediately appeared from all directions and caught me as I feinted.
They established I had very low blood pressure (possibly due to arrythmia) and I was wheeled to the Coronary Care Unit ward where I was reunited with my wife.
Fortunately I seemed to improve quickly and we were very grateful, having fasted all day, to a young woman (possibly a student nurse) offering us tea and toast.
The following morning Fiona, Aimee and a young man whose name I can't remember looked after me very well in a very friendly manner. Also notable was a very smiley gentleman who was keeping the ward very clean.
A big thank you to everyone for looking after me in my hour of need and for doing it in such an efficient and friendly manner.
