"Eligible or not?"

About: Central Vaccination Service - Angus

(as a carer),

Absolutely disgusted at treatment by NHS Tayside vaccination service. My husband and I attended a pre booked appointment, for our flu vaccine at Arbroath St Andrews Church only to be told we were not eligible.

We both provide care to very elderly and vulnerable parents and were able to book through the NHS inform online system. Staff at the centre stated we were not eligible despite NHS Tayside posting an advert via Facebook 3 hours prior stating all unpaid and young carers were eligible for flu vaccine.

Which is it? Eligible or not?! I feel that to be advertising and wasting people’s time is an absolute disgrace.

Dear trapperfd33,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am sorry to hear that you and your husband were left feeling confused regarding vaccine eligibility following your recent appointment at Arbroath St Andrews Church.

If you’d be willing, we would appreciate the opportunity to look into this further and ensure your concerns are fully resolved. Please contact us on 01382 423108 or email tay.cvs@nhs.scot who will be able to take your details to allow us to look into this further.

Kind Regards,

Stephanie Anthony
