About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I visited my daughter in Royal Blackburn today ward C11 she has been in for three weeks with severe infection in her leg. She has been housebound for 12months after dislocating her leg and waiting for an operation. This has been cancelled four times!! However, while waiting she got leg ulcers with severe infection and has now been in the hospital for 3 weeks as they try and get rid of the infection On leaving today I went to 8 hand gel stations and none had any gel in. Four by the lifts on floor 3 and four on the ground floor. This is disgusting. I went to reception and told the three ladies that they were empty. They just shrugged their shoulders and said there was a shortage of staff!!! No wonder infection is rife in the hospital and my daughter cannot get better. !
