"Rejected mental health care"

About: Borders Community Services / South Community Mental Health service Borders General Practices

(as the patient),

I recently went to the doctor to see about getting something to help with my mental health. I explained as best I could. The doctor wrote on a post-it note while making faces when mentioning some of the things I had done after they asked.

The doctor told me I needed anti-psychotics but couldn’t help me until I got a diagnosis from the south team and put in a referral. I got the letter through to say they were not accepting my referral and gave me unhelpful methods and phone numbers and an app when I do not need to talk about my episodes, I need something to stop them.

I've struggled since I was 13 and since it's getting worse I tried to do something about it and this is the treatment I was given. I’ve been let down, yet again by the NHS MH services.
