I was admitted to AED Virtual Ward for ongoing severe headache, dizziness and nausea. Brain scan and lab work reported nothing abnormal, I was unable to tolerate a lumbar puncture due to severe nausea on bending. It was agreed with the admitting doctor that a cervical x-ray would be arranged as an outpatient and this was noted on my discharge letter.
I waited 4 days and contacted the Radiology department at Altnagelvin Hospital to make enquiries. I was informed that the clinician had cancelled my x-ray. I rang the admitting doctor's secretary and left my details on a voicemail and to date have not heard any response. Why was my x-ray cancelled? Very concerning and still no response from AAH.
