About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as a service user),

Following my recent heart attack and cardiac arrest I was invited to take part in cardiac rehabilitation with the team based in the Vale of Leven hospital. 

Over the last three months the team, Lillian, Gillian, Rhona and Sharon have supported and encouraged me throughout my fitness programme.

They have all given me helpful information and advice on all aspects of my rehabilitation - including exercise, medication and lifestyle.

I now have the motivation and confidence to continue my programme on my own in the knowledge they are a phone call away if I ever need them.

Good Afternoon Summer 24,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share the story of your experience within the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service at the Vale of Leven Hospital. My name is Rhona and I am one of the physiotherapists who work within that team.

I'm glad that you felt able to accept the invitation to participate in Cardiac Rehabilitation and very glad to hear that you have felt the staff members and myself have made you feel supported and encouraged during your time with us. I will happily pass on to the clinical staff you have mentioned how they made you feel; this is the atmosphere we all strive to create.

It's great to hear that you found the information provided by the team helpful and holistic.

We wish you well with your continued exercise journey and are pleased that you found your time in Cardiac Rehabilitation rewarding and motivational- keep up the good work!
