I came in to have my 2nd baby. I was looked after during the birth by 2 midwives called Chloe and Kelly. They were really good at keeping me calm throughout and I could tell they knew what they were doing.
I appreciated that they had read my notes and picked up on me wanting uninterrupted skin to skin. They made sure that everything was on my terms. I had a really positive birth experience.
The birthing pool was lovely and warm and definitely helped with the pain. They ran me a shower and made sure I was fed and watered.
On the ward I was given a hot choc before bed which was a lovely treat and I was checked on during the night. I was also given plenty of help with feeding when needed. I really couldnt fault anything.
Thanks so much to the staff at Peterhead, they really are a credit to the NHS.
