"I will never forget the generosity and care shown"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Acute medical admissions (AMU)

(as a service user),

After being admitted recently very unwell, acute unit processed and diagnosed what was happening to me. I had to wait but I witnessed how hard they work to process patients, from people coming via ambulance and general public.

Please be understanding when arriving, there probably will be waiting time.

The nurses and doctors didn't forget me, always looking out for me and giving me updates and support.

Once I got a bed that's when the magic started with medical checks and medicine administered .

I'll never forget looking up to a ward sister in the early hours of the morning, thinking she reminds me of an angel, and how reassuring she was.

The staff worked tirelessly, I witnessed day shifts swapping to night shifts and how tired they were nearing the shift end.

I will never forget the generosity and care shown to me, to me you're true heroes.
