I recently have received treatment at the hospital through an operation and I am having the district nurses coming to me every day, as I have to have a wound changed and padded. I recently kept telling the nurses some thing was wrong( as it is not the same nurse every day ) and all they kept saying was every thing is clean. Even though the dressing was stained and smelt, and the wound became so tender I was in so much pain and cried every time they changed it. I had a swab taken and I the patient was correct it is infected so because of this infection I am on very strong antibiotics and have had all the other medication for any pain increased by three times. Why do these so called professional people not listen to the patients and because of these nurses not listening to me I have been in so much pain when they have been dressing the wound I have been in breaking down in tears. Also why do they not come at a time you would like them to come to your home I asked them once to change the time and I was given the third degree to why do I want the time changed that day, I seem to think I am up setting there rountine well I am sorry but I am sure they could come to my home early as members of my family would like to see me at a reasonably time not a time to suit the nurses. While I am righting this it is 10.45 am and I am still waiting for the district nurse to come as I have to take my medication at least an hour before hand. All they have is one patient round the corner and not many others so it does seem I am up setting there rouintine. At this moment in time I would not like any one else to be treated by them, not if they treat them the same way they are treating me now.
