About: Kilbryde Hospice / Inpatient Care

(as a friend),

Visited a friend receiving end of life care at Kilbryde Hospice and the care is outstanding.

From the moment you arrive and are welcomed to the lovely touches added to each room to make it so comfortable.

The staff and volunteers make the whole experience for patients and family so uplifting and positive.

Dear Gemmawn469,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such beautiful words regarding your friend's care here at Kilbryde Hospice.

As one of the deputy managers of the inpatient unit, it gives me great pleasure in reading that you felt the care to be outstanding, please accept my gratitude as your opinion is so important to us.

Our care is very individualised and patient centred, we like to encourage all our patients to bring in personal belongings with them so as to make their environment as welcoming, comfortable and homely as possible, I'm so pleased this is something you have noticed.

You mentioned the staff and volunteers made the whole experience positive for both patients and their families, this you felt was so uplifting, this is very much appreciated and something we strive to deliver.

I will take the time to feed your very positive words to all the team of both staff and volunteers.
