"Supported with dignity in the most person centred way"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

Recently I visited Queen Margaret Hospital for Dental surgery and I cannot praise the service I received highly enough.

From my initial visit last week with Corrin, who was amazing putting my mind at ease, to Steph and Iryna, Claire and Nora who followed through on my plan for surgery. Matthew the anaesthesiologist and the dentists who all explained the process clearly and allowed me to ask additional questions, I felt supported with dignity in the most person centred way possible, especially as I am neurodivergent.

I wish I could remember the names of the after care team who ensured I was suitably fed the best toast and tea and was fit to go home with medication within the foretold timescale.

Special thank also to all the ancillary staff including the cleaners who cheerfully checked in on my husband as they passed. I am truly grateful for all the care give by NHS Fife. I have another surgery in the new year and I am no longer worried about the process due to my experience yesterday.
