"Treated exceptionally by all the staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / West of Scotland Major Trauma Ward (ward 1c)

(as the patient),

I broke 7 ribs, ruptured a tendon in my thumb and fractured my knee.

I was in the ward for just over a week and was treated exceptionally by all the staff who metaphorically broke their backs helping me out in both recovering and simple tasks.

From the minute I was wheeled in I've been treated with the utmost care and attention from all staff involved.

Dear David 21

Thank you for getting in touch with us to share your experience of care during your recent stay in the Major Trauma Ward at QEUH.

We are fortunate to have a fantastic multidisciplinary team in the Major Trauma ward and I'm pleased that you were treated and cared for so well during this early rehabilitation period after your injuries.

I will share your kind words with the ward team who will be delighted to know how much you appreciated their care and attention.

I wish you well with your ongoing recovery from your injuries and thank you again for taking time to write to us.

Kind regards

Morag Busby, Lead Nurse Major Trauma and Orthopaedics
