"No response to complaint 8 months later"

About: Stirling Care Village / Livilands Resource Centre

(as a service user),

I made a very serious complaint of being misdiagnosed Bipolar and mismedicated and I felt bullied by psychiatry over a decade and my complaint has not been responded to 8 months and waiting. I feel so disrespected by the whole process and it's added to my huge trauma I already have with NHS Forth Valley. The patient relations team have been dismissive to me and very unsupportive of my autistic needs.

Dear greenth39

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch, I am disappointed to hear that you feel that the Patient Relations Team have been dismissive and unsupportive to your needs.

The Patient Relations team try their upmost to communicate with patients and families in a way that is supportive to them in a manner that meets their needs, and I am sorry that you feel that we have not been able to do this with you.

As I am sure you can understand I cannot make any comment on Care Opinion in relation to your complaint, and would be happy to discuss with you how best we can communicate with you. If you would like to discuss your concerns further you can reach me at Patient Relations, 01324 566660.
