"NHS District Nurse appointment system at it's…"

About: Houghton Primary Care Centre

An appointment was made at The Houghton Primary Care Centre for 1:10pm on 03/12/24, so that my husband could have a wound checked following major surgery. On arrival there was no one on either reception desk and none of the staff that we saw could tell

us where we needed to go. By 1:30pm a member of the reception staff was available and contacted the District Nurses to tell them my husband was waiting and had an appointment. Then, when no nurse appeared, the receptionist actually went to find one. There was no record of my husband's appointment and despite the attempts of this excellent member of the reception staff, no nurse appeared until 2:10pm. In view of the fact that my husband had not long been out of hospital, this wait was not exactly helpful to his condition.
