"The care I received was outstanding"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gynaecology (Ward 49)

(as a service user),

I underwent mesh removal surgery at QEUH in Glasgow. From arrival till I left the care I received was outstanding. I felt I was in the hands of caring, supportive and professional staff at every juncture.

Everything was carefully and comprehensively explained to me before the operation. After the operation the care I received from the lovely, friendly staff on Ward 49 Gynaecology was equally good.

Special thanks to Megan, Staff Nurse on day shift and Jordan Staff Nurse on night shift along with all their colleagues in their different roles.

Dear Jacjayess,

Thanks you so much for spending the time offering feedback on our fantastic team in Ward 49.

The fact you felt the care you received was outstanding from arrival, until you left is reassuring as this is the care we strive to deliver. Also the fact you felt you were in the hands of caring, supportive and professional staff at every juncture, as well as having everything carefully and comprehensively explained to you before the operation is the person centred care we aim for.

I will share this with the team - especially Megan and Jordan.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

Kind regards,

Nikki
