"Birth of my daughter"

About: Ayrshire & Arran Community Services / Community Maternity Services

(as the patient),

I had the most positive birth experience and this was all thanks for the Ayrshire and Arran Home Birthing Team.

I switched to the home birthing team from week 20 of my pregnancy and had all my appointments at home with one consistent midwife, Rachel. Time was never issue and there was never a silly question, Rachel was so knowledgeable and always listened to my concerns or thoughts on my pregnancy to give me sound advice.

I had a long labour but the home birthing team were amazing! They came out to visit my in the latent stage to support me with lain advice, aromatherapy and check baby was doing well.

When labour progressed I was fortunate enough to have 3 amazing midwifes look after me and Rachel was there too - having this continuity of care was so important and made the whole birth experience so special.

I birthed at home so try no complications or issues and felt cared for and supported from this team. This is an amazing service offered and made so by the team that keep it going by providing top class care!
