"Patient accommodation, doors slamming"

About: Raigmore Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

Exhausted.

After a long day getting treated you do not want to be woken hourly throughout the night by others going to the toilet and allowing doors to slam shut and closing their doors loudly as well.

It is easy to control the doors to close quietly. You do not get used to it.

It is not impossible to put notices up telling others to respect those that are asleep.

Dear NBMouth

Firstly let me offer you our sincere apology for the delay in acknowledging your post.

I am sorry to hear that you had a disturbed night following your admission to Raigmore Hospital, General Medicine team.

I can confirm that I have passed your feedback to the Nurse Managers and asked them to review this with the Charge Nurses to see if any any alterations can be made to the door closing functions.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your exprience, and feedback.

With kind regards

Sylvia
