"I have nothing but praise for everyone"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

I had a replacement hip operation in June this year. The pre-assessment care was very thorough and I could not have been treated any better. The operation went well at the National Treatment Centre at Victoria Hospital in Fife. Again the treatment and care was 1st Class.

Unfortunately after a couple of falls and 3 dislocations I am in need of a further operation, which I'm glad to say is going to take place only 8 days after my 3rd dislocation. The speed at which the new operation was organised and all preps done was amazing. I can only thank the nursing and administration team for their hard work in making it happen so quickly. The tireless dedication and the hard work of all the NHS staff is something to admire and to thank them for.

Particular thanks to nurse Giulio in the Victoria pre-assessment unit for the quick but thorough assessment to get me to see the consultant in time for the operation time and date to be speedily arranged. I have nothing but praise for every one of the porters, nurses, doctors and the administrators that have had to deal with my many admissions this year.
