"Unsympathetic and showing no empathy whatsoever"

Just wanted to give a shout out to the practitioner who I saw at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Trust. 

Thanks for being so very unsympathetic and showing no empathy whatsoever regarding the lack of care and indifference shown by a Cardiologist which has resulted in both a delay / mix up / error in medication and last minute cancellation of surgery. The indifference regarding my anxiety, the lack of advice and help when requested and the patronising manner left a lot to be desired. I felt no warmth or compassion. When I questioned why replies were not making sense and were contradictory,  I was accused of shouting…….really??? 

I feel that the cardiac department and BTHT has failed in their duty of care towards me during this episode of ill health. I’m sorry that they had to ‘squeeze’ me in this last minute appointment that they seemed to want me to be extremely grateful for; I’m sorry that I came across as fragile and worried. But it would have been kinder if the practitioner hadn’t taken their problems out on me that day and instead acted like a proper caring professional.
