"Stroke rehab team"

About: Older People Community Services / Community Stroke Team

(as a service user),

I had left sided weakness and felt really scared. My wife called 999. After I was discharged from hospital the community stroke team took care of me. Professional and helpful staff. Nothing was ever too much for them. I had physio with Katie and Alison saw me for OT help. I had rehab assistants and they helped me to get ready in the morning. Stacey was extremely patient and kind and I felt at ease around her. She didn't make me feel rushed with my personal care and was really understanding. I was able to progress with the help of the team and I am very happy with their support.

Dear MrmrsOr,

Thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback.

Having a stroke is a frightening experience and I am so glad that our team has been able to give you the support you needed and that you were treated with patience and kindness.

I am delighted to hear that you are making progress. I will pass your kind words on to the team.

I hope that your recovery continues.

Best wishes,

Angela
