The patients in Oakwood ward sit in wheelchairs all day for the convenience of staff moving them around. There are no soft comfortable chairs for the patients to transfer to for comfort. Wheelchairs are not made to be sat in all day, especially not the basic ones provided in the hospital. Given that this is a rehab ward, it doesn't equate that whilst trying to improve movement, the patients suffer aches and pains from sitting in the same position all day. Some try to put a pillow in the back to try to relieve the pain, but others either can't ask or are too scared to do so. Its a disgrace! What happened to dignity, respect and care? What a terrible way to treat people, especially those in need of the utmost care. They deserve comfort at the very least. I couldn't believe what I saw when I visited this ward, and saw this disrespectful way of treating human beings, its positively shocking
