"Treated every person in a warm, friendly way"

About: Causeway Hospital / Coronary Care/Medical Monitoring Unit Causeway Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital with suspected heart attack / unstable angina.

The nurses and staff of the CCU were fantastic, utterly professional, knowledgeable and treated every person in a warm, friendly way. This made a huge difference to me personally as I spent nearly 4 weeks in the hospital a few hundred miles away from my home. (I had taken an attack on a brief holiday break, and Causeway was the nearest hospital).

The doctors were also brilliant and treated me with utmost care and friendliness. They did exactly what they said they would do, if I needed a particular scan, it happened quickly.

Thank you to all the staff there, both day and night shifts, cleaners etc included. The staff are what makes the hospital, quite frankly, the best I have stayed in.

I was transferred to a side ward in the MAU due to a possible exposure to COVID (I wasn't. Tested 10 days negative).

The staff here were excellent, led by Patricia, I was mostly attended to by Claire, Charlotte, Caelan, and numerous others that I cannot recall the names of. Everyone was fantastic, a real credit to the hospital. I was dealt with in a friendly, warm, fashion whilst also in a very professional way. The staff were great in keeping my spirits high, I was alone in a side way, far from home. Thank you MAU!

Update posted by corvusem94 (the patient)

Hi Nicky,

Please pass on my sincere thanks to both CCU and MAU staff. For some reason, the above seems to be my 2 separate posts about both departments, joined together. The staff listed are all MAU.

From a CCU perspective I’d like to thank Toni, Laura, Karen, Cindy, Shannon, and many others whose names I can’t recall. They helped physically and mentally over my stay. I cannot thank them enough.

Thanks again

Hi corvusem94,

am not sure how this happened, that your 2 separate responses were joined.

I will pass onto the team in CCU, again, much appreciated.

Nicky.
