"Blood test at short notice"

I had an haematology appointment in Aberdeen, and had forgotten to book myself in for a blood test beforehand. 

I phoned the outpatients appointment number, the man I spoke with sent an email off and phoned me back a few minutes later to say that I could get slotted in for a test this morning in Forres Health and Care Centre whenever was suitable for me. Fifteen minutes later, Darren at the health centre had taken a sample of my blood. I think that I was not the only one that he was seeing outside of the regular booked slots. 

I’m really impressed with the friendly and helpful service that I was given today, particularly by Darren who is coping with the extra workload with a smile.
