"The long road back from chronic fatigue"

About: Adult Psychological Therapies Service / Condition Management Programme

(as a service user),

A stroke followed by pneumonia leading to blood clots on my lungs and bits of dead lung. I returned to work too soon and ended up with chronic fatigue.

The chronic fatigue put me in bed for long periods, you could sleep 12 hours and get up in the morning and by the time you’d showered, you were back into bed exhausted.

From the stroke till now is 4 years and until 6 months ago when I got help from the condition management programme I was struggling.

They put me on the road to recovery from different treatments, vitamins, daily routines, exercise management and listening to my body.

The broad wealth of knowledge Lucia had was amazing and her experience and encouragement made all the difference.

I can’t thank her enough.

Dear Van B

Thank you for sharing your experience of engaging with the Condition Management Programme ( CMP). With Lucia taking the lead as our Physiotherapist and sessions with the wider team including Occupational Therapy, Dietician, Mental health Nurse and Cognitive behavior therapist it sounds like you got the wide range of support required to address your various health needs.

I am delighted that you have made such progress and I hop that you make continued progress.

kind regards

Barbara-Anne Richardson
