About: Mountainhall Treatment Centre / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I had my cataract surgery done in the new unit in September at Mountainhall. Dumfries. The waiting area was spacious, calming and quiet. The staff were all very helpful and professional.

Patient Services were extremely helpful to me for which I am very grateful.

Thank you for posting on Care Opinion. Feedback such as yours is invaluable to the Health Board as it allows us to tailor and adapt our services to best meet the needs of our patients.

I was pleased to read that you found the new Ophthalmology Unit to be a pleasant and calming environment. The opening of the unit was the culmination of a significant amount of planning and multidisciplinary input so it was good to read that we are delivering on our commitment to offer a unit in which we can deliver the best possible care for patients such as yourself.

I was also delighted to learn that you found the staff who cared for you to be helpful and professional and will make sure the team are aware of your positive feedback

Finally and on behalf of the Patient Services team of which I am a part, I am pleased that you found us to be extremely helpful and if we can offer further assistance in the future please do not hesitate to contact us.
