"Excellent Care"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32)

(as a service user),

I attended A&e at the RAH with right abdominal pain and shoulder pain with concerns of an ectopic pregnancy. I was triaged quickly , had bloods taken and seen by a medic within a couple of hours. Nursing staff and the doctor who saw me were all very friendly and efficient. I was offered food and drink and pain relief whilst waiting for results and a plan. I was then transferred to ward 32 for a scan and the nurse and consultant I saw for scan were very friendly and reassuring. The care I received was excellent when I know the pressures staff are under. Thank you.

Dear patientG,

I am sorry to hear you had to attend the hospital with worries regarding an ectopic pregnancy and I wish you well.

I will share this with my emergency department colleagues as well as my gynaecology team.

Our Ward 32 team will be delighted to hear you found them friendly and reassuring despite the pressure everyone was under.

Thanks so much for your feedback.

Kind regards,

Nikki
