"My wife’s nose bleed"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My wife’s nose started bleeding about 9 in the morning and as it was still bleeding about 1pm, I rushed her to Hairmyres accident and emergency ward. Due to her blood loss she was seen immediately by Ruth one of the A&E nurses. She was amazing and put my wife at ease. My wife was then seen by an A&E doctor and a consultant Ear nose and throat specialist who cauterised her nose. A huge thank you to all the staff at A&E for making a very stressful time easier. Thank you NHS ❤️

Dear Rambo20&

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Hairmyres, ED.

I am so pleased to hear that you had a short wait to be seen and treated and that our staff were friendly despite the pressures they are currently under in the ED.

I’ll ensure your kind words are passed on to the whole team who will get a real boost from hearing your feedback.

Kind Regards,

Elise
