"Wonderful; prompt action"

About: Integrated Community Services Service Delivery Unit / Nightingale Neighbourhood Team

(as a relative),

For Crabbs Cross surgery district nursing team in Redditch. Can't use enough superlatives how good you are.

From having a HCA doing a routine bloods on Wednesday  to her looking at my husband's infected toe  at my request which was not in her remit. She took photo was so concern spoke to Nurse Margeret ASAHP, who came straight out she took measurements and dressed site going the extra mile taking his OBS just in case. The team escalated it immediately to our Doctors; podiatry etc.

Had phone call from our wonderful  doctor on his day off to state after looking at photo etc it was dry gangrene in his medical opinion  and to take my husband to A&E, who discharged him as he already had a planned appoint with Vascular the following Tuesday which they felt he could wait.for.

Podiatrist rang Friday but decided it best to wait till Tuesday but gave me  their emergency weekend telephone number in case.

.At Vascular appointment in careful consideration with doctor and assisting podiatrist  we felt the best option for my husband was to have care in the community until such time he had relevant scans. In order for Vascular to come up with the best  medical solution due to his underlying health conditions.

So District Nurses  have the job of dressing toevl 3 times a week for the foreseeable future We have experienced nothing but kind; helpful support from them. So Julie, Beth, Abbie, Margaret and the whole of the Nightingale team from HCAs to Nurses who not been mentioned by name you'll  have to forgive me who have and are treating him.

You are all wonderful, caring, professional, Exceptional prople. Doing one of the most ungrateful. jobs but we really appreciated all that you have done in the past and now. Don't let anyone under value you as you are truly worth your wait in gold.

Thank you for your prompt actions..
