"Lack of care and empathy"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Delivered my two babies in Paisley in 2022 and 2023.

Unfortunately the latter was a dreadful experience with the midwife telling me they couldn't deliver my baby, as they finish at 10pm.

This was at 5pm.

I was also told by the same midwife that I was only 3cm dilated, I cannot be in that much pain.

Fast forward to 4 hours later and my son was born. Such a stressful, unhelpful experience and lack of care and empathy from midwives delivering was disgusting.

Definitely put me off using Paisley for any future babies.
