Referred back for pain following previous foot surgery here.I explained my problem walking due to irritation pain and tenderness with internal screws in place from surgery

We discussed my wish to remove these which was respected and recorded on my letter after my consultation .The surgeon even explained the procedure and type of anaesthesia I would need . I was extremely relieved as walking has been difficult . An Ultra sound was requested to detect another issue first . Returned to a dismissive and extremely quick consultation now stating will not help me with my problem re my screws in my foot and not believing how much pain I am in at the screw site .Rather dismayed and bewildered I spoke and emailed the Quality accounts manager several times who after trying to explain my concern about being left in extreme pain from screws , i was told ‘ We will no longer be responding as there is nothing more to add ‘ !!!!! However my first consultation with her I was offered the possibility of a meeting or help with a 2nd opinion with another surgeon if they could find one . I am now unable to contact again due to the email stating any future correspondence I make will not be answered !!

I am having an injection for another area in my foot but my pain in my screw site is being ignored despite my concerns and impact on my quality of life

This has gone unanswered .

I now have extreme tenderness and pain around my screws with redness and swelling but I have now been shut down by the Surgeon and the manager despite trying to plead for some help re my pain and another meeting to please help me . I have been told …..

‘We will log your contacts with us but we will not respond ‘

‘There is nothing else we can offer you ‘

‘The surgeon does not need to see you ‘

Shocking !! Thanks very much !!

They do not care and now I’m left in limbo on strong prescription pain relief and a swollen foot as I have been totally cut off by the manager and the Surgeon

I certainly have not experienced ‘The high quality care ‘ they advertise or ‘The undivided attention and’ patient focus ‘ in-fact I have been dismissed with very little ‘attention ‘ especially if you dare to query or plead for further help or review with the surgeon or manager .’ Patient focus ‘ is lacking here . You are basically told what is best for you with little say or involvement in your care and health

We are sorry you are disappointed that we are unable to provide the procedure you have requested. All our surgeons only complete procedures based on clinical need and your surgeon does not feel the procedure you have requested is appropriate at this time. As previously advised, if you wish to escalate your issues to a complaint please contact me and we will begin the Practice Plus Group complaint process.
