"Need more communication about what’s going on"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Clinical Decision Unit

(as a service user),

I often feel that I get processed while in hospital with very little understanding of what is going on, timelines, next steps. Maybe having a digital screen that is able to communicate our care in real time would be really useful.

Dear Charafz55,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us, and for your feedback about how you feel when you're in hospital. I was sorry to hear you felt "processed" as opposed to being the very centre of our care, which is our ultimate aim.

I would love to hear more about your ideas about how we can work in partnership with you, to keep you updated on aspects of your care - the ideas you've shared are exciting.

If this is something you'd be willing to help us with, please do reach out: coral.mcgowan@nhs.scot.

In the meantime, thank you for sharing your experience with us, your feedback really is valued and appreciated.

I hope you are now feeling better

Sending best wishes

Coral
