"Still suffering in cold, AC on 24/7"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

I am an oral Cancer patient, I am admitted in St Bartholomew's Hospital for my 30 days radiotherapy. After finishing my radiotherapy ward 5B staff move me to ward 5A and after few days ward 5A move me to Ward 6C.

I am facing so many side effects of radiotherapy like swelling, pain, burning and feeling cold all time. My concern is I moved on the 6th floor Ward, and in this room's air conditioning always on, it's -2 temperature outside.

I tried to contact staff nurses and doctor but they don't listen.

Dear Amir455

Thank you for your feedback from which are sorry and disappointed that you have had cause to raise concern about your inpatient experience. We note that you attempted to resolve the issue with the nurses and doctors, but this was unsuccessful. May we suggest that you contact the PALS Team on site who will be able to look into this and liaise with the service on your behalf. They can be contacted via email sbhpals.bartshealth@nhs.net or Tel. No. 020 3465 5919.
Kind regards
Central Complaints Team
