I recently went to the QEUH for major gynaecology surgery. I was terrified as I had never had surgery before and I was also anxious about what news I would wake up to post op, as I had an abnormal ovarian cyst.
All of the staff that looked after me throughout my journey in hospital were absolutely amazing and a credit to the NHS. They all reassured me and their kindness and compassion made a scary experience much easier.
I can’t remember everyone’s names but I want to say a huge thank you to the staff in same day admissions, the surgeon (Sarah), registrar, anaesthetists, theatre staff, recovery staff and all the staff in ward 49.
I stayed in ward 49 for 2 nights after my surgery and I felt so well looked after. I was in a lot of pain post op but the nurses on the ward made sure I was kept as comfortable as possible. An all round very positive experience, thank you all again ♥️
"An all round very positive experience"
