"Great support from midwives"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care

(as the patient),

I recently gave birth to a baby boy at Wishaw maternity and I would just like to thank all the staff involved in my care.

I had an induced labour, and things progressed much more quickly than anyone expected but I was supported through this by the student midwife who was taking care of me that night (Kirsty), and who took the place of my husband who couldn't make the birth due to how quickly things happened.

I also wanted to thank Louise on the postnatal ward who was very helpful, explained things clearly and helped me feel more positive when I was struggling with breastfeeding.

There were so many other staff members that I didn't catch the names of who helped both me and my baby recover. I am so very thankful we have the NHS.

Dear gesk19,

Thank you so much for providing lovely feedback on the care you received. Im so sorry to read your husband didn't quite make it due to the speed of progress. I hope you are all recovering from the quick labour and birth!

The NHS is a wonderful service with equally brilliant staff dedicated to delivering care safely and with kindness. We are lucky to look after fantastic families like yourself, its a pleasure to be part of your story.

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback to us

I will share your kind words with all staff

With warmest wishes to you and your our family

Cheryl
